About Us

We are a small family business based on the outskirts of Stockton-on-Tees specialising in kiln dried firewood in the Tees Valley area. Our firewood business is a diversification to our family farm alongside our self developed static holiday caravan park (www.droversway.com) making the most of our available experience, machinery and infrastructure (our dry log storage is actually our lambing shed), with the aim of helping to smooth out the peaks and many troughs of running a mixed livestock farm in the modern age.

Our free delivery area encompasses Stockton, Middlesbrough, Yarm, Ingelby Barwick, Darlington, Sedgefield, Hartlepool, Redcar, Stokesly, Wynyard and just about everywhere in between.

We pride ourselves on providing a consistently excellent product every time, fantastic value for money, with a fast and efficient service. We are honest, hard working people and as with the other arms of our business we aim to do everything we can to the best of our ability.

Our products are recommended by numerous local industry professionals such as Piping Hot Stoves, The Fire Centre and Dave Williams and Son Chimney Sweep. With many customers returning to us every year and a growing number of them joining us every week.

We buy our timber from sustainably managed local sources, estates such as Rokeby, Raby, Wynyard and Forests England managed woodland. The vast majority of timber comes from thinning operations within these woodlands, undertaken to ensure the best specimens have the space they need to grow to reach maturity and provide the best timber possible when harvested. This also provides habitat for all manner of flora and fauna in amongst the various stages of growth from the forest floor to the canopy.
