Do you like the satisfaction of stacking and drying your own logs ready for each winter but don't have time, space, good health or fitness to cut and split your own? Do you also want to save money on having us dry, clean, bag and store them for you when you can do so in your own log store?...

...Then this is the option for you!

Cut and split logs by the tipper trailer load. Ready to be stacked and left to dry until they reach suitable moisture content for burning in your appliance. In the perfect location or time of year this can be as little as 6 months but in the case of Oak can often take 2 years. Oak can be specified as a separate order. We won't include any Oak in the normal mixed loads.

Available as mixed Hardwood species, mixed softwood species or nothing but Oak. In Full or Half loads, cut to order.

We will supply these logs to you, cut and split to the size you desire, straight off the processor conveyor, out of our extensive roundwood stock. We can cut from 25cm to 60cm long and split down to a size 5-15cm across, or make them chunkier splits if you so desire. We make no guarantee on moisture content for these logs but they are most definitely NOT ready to burn. We hold zero responsibility for the state of your chimney or flu if you try to burn these logs without adequate seasoning time.

We recommend you stack these logs neatly, off the floor in a location with good ventilation and protection from wet weather that doesn't impede airflow. We can recommend a suitable purpose built store or a joiner to make you a bespoke log store should you need one.

This wood is not suitable for burning until it has been dried. You should not burn wood until it has a moisture content of 20% or less.

Wet wood contains moisture which creates smoke and harmful particulates when burnt. As well as being harmful to your health and the environment, this can damage your stove and chimney and is an inefficient way to heat your home. Dry it in a sunny, well-aired space for at least two years, keeping rain off in the winter.

Radial cracks and bark that comes off easily suggests wood that is ready for burning. Test the wood when you think it is ready for burning, ideally with a moisture meter. First calibrate the meter and then measure a freshly split surface to get the best reading.
